The Power of Purpose-Driven Businesses
We organized an inspiring evening event, “At the Threshold – The Power of Purpose-Driven Business,” at Emirates Towers. This event featured corporate culture and leadership expert Samie Al Achrafi, CEO of Marmalade Fish. Discussions focused on the crucial role of purpose, mission, and values in business, and the benefits of becoming a B Corp. The positive response underscored the growing interest in purpose-driven initiatives in the UAE.
Creativity to Drive Climate Action at COP28
During COP28, we showcased the innovative power of creative storytelling in driving climate action by moderating a session on climate storytelling and highlighting TikTok’s #ClimateAction campaign. This campaign transformed complex environmental challenges into engaging content, leveraging TikTok’s vast reach to educate and inspire action.
Spotlight on Health & Climate at COP28
We participated in COP28’s groundbreaking Health Day, highlighting the urgent intersection of climate change and public health. Our CEO, Nadine Zidani, served as the Master of Ceremonies at a pivotal event organized by WHO, the UAE Ministry of Health & Prevention, and ATACH at COP28 UAE green zone. The discussions underscored the urgent need to decarbonize the healthcare sector and build climate-resilient health systems, with global leaders committing to transformative actions.
Inner Development & Climate Action at COP28
We had the privilege of hosting a special dinner gathering during COP28 UAE. Our esteemed guest, Jan Artem Henriksson, the Executive Director of the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) initiative, shared invaluable insights into the critical role of inner work in navigating the complexities of today’s world.
The event also featured a workshop organized in collaboration with the Zayed International Foundation for the Environment in the Green Zone at COP28. During this session, we moderated a World Café alongside Dr. Charles Savage and Jan Artem Henriksson, who delved deeply into the root causes of our climate crisis and the potential for human development to address them.
International Women's Day with Veolia Middle East
We had the honor of moderating and hosting an inspiring event for International Women’s Day in partnership with Veolia Middle East. This event brought together women working in male-dominated industries to celebrate their contributions to the community and our planet. It provided a unique platform for women to share their experiences, challenges, and successes.
In this empowering event, the atmosphere was one of openness and support. Our CEO, Nadine Zidani, began by stating, “this is our time, a safe space for us to be vulnerable.’ They all dared to open up, discussing their challenges and inspiring one another. When women come together, heart to heart, something special happens in the room”.
