MENA Impact Joins the UN Global Compact UAE to Advance Responsible Business Practices

Dubai, Dec 20,2024 – MENA Impact is pleased to announce that it has officially joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative, a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices.

By joining the UN Global Compact UAE, MENA Impact reinforces its commitment to aligning its strategies and operations with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact.

These principles cover four key areas: human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. This milestone marks MENA Impact’s dedication to advancing sustainability goals in the MENA region and contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Nadine Zidani, Founder & CEO of MENA Impact, shared, “As a UAE-based company and B Corp certified, we are firmly aligned with the UN Global Compact principles and committed to building a responsible business. Joining the UNGC in the UAE and making our commitment official was a natural step for us. We look forward to doing more and supporting the growing movement of responsible businesses in the UAE.”

Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the

world, with more than 15,000 companies and 3,800 non-business signatories based in over 160

countries, and more than 69 Local Networks.

It calls on businesses to take responsible action and create a world that is more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient.

As a participant of the UN Global Compact UAE, MENA Impact will leverage this platform to deepen its sustainability efforts, collaborate with other businesses, and share its progress transparently through annual Communication on Progress (COP) reporting.

“Our journey with the UN Global Compact UAE is just the beginning. We look forward to collaborating with other like-minded organizations and driving meaningful impact in the UAE and beyond.” added Nadine Zidani.
